Subject: [NHBirds] Bluebirds
Hi There,
Again this winter I have Bluebirds here in Dunbarton.I think they may be
some of the ones that were in the Bluebird boxes this summer, and stayed.
This year I have 6, they love the heated birdbath. It is a beautiful sight
when all of them ring around it at the same time to drink. They are eating
the suet and hulled sunflower seed. They also are enjoying enjoying eating
all the gorgeous red winter berries I picked this winter to use in my
window boxes, wreaths, in flowerpots with pine boughs etc. I think it is
rather polite that they waited to do this until after Christmas! It is hard
to take a pic of them as they are quite camera shy. I was wondering if I
should also try feeding some dried mealworms? Has anyone had luck with
feeding them these in the winter, if so do you think it is worth the cost?
Any suggestions for a type of feeder?
Thank you!
Jennifer Frost
