Subject: [NHBirds] Three Sapsuckers in the ‘Hood; Red-shouldered Hawk at the Ratla
We discovered that we in fact have two adult female sapsuckers at our
feeders - today both were present at the same time, one on the peanut
feeder and the other on the suet cakes. The only plumage difference was
that one had more yellow on the belly than the other one. Meanwhile, an
adult male sapsucker is coming to another feeder about half a mile away.
They’re everywhere, they’re everywhere.

Meanwhile an adult Red-shouldered Hawk, likely the female from the nearby
nest, has discovered the turkey on the ratla. Strangely the crows leave her
alone, whereas they go after the Redtailed Hawks when they show up as
singletons.
