- Comments: "34.443313,-119.848757 at this spot heard call twice about 20 minutes apart. I waited around trying to get a recording after the second call but finally gave up. I did get to record the VA Rail while I waited at same spot. The call was an exact match for the first call listed at: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Common_Gallinule/sounds"

- Comments: "In a flock with Townsend Warblers pecking at the tree located on the north side of the parking lot at 317 Pueblo St. by the chain-link fence next to construction site. Very sleek small warbler. Completely black-and-white. I did not see any bluish by the hindquarters like I did with the first Warbler I saw at the Bailard overpass. This bird seemed a little smaller but still had a very sleek look and stood out from the flock. I observed it for about 10 minutes but could not get a clear picture. I stood under the tree that the warblers were in and was about 7 feet away from viewing them, they were not bothered by my presence."
