Subject: [GeneseeBirds-L] Geneseo: RL Hawk, Blackbirds
There was a light phase Rough-legged Hawk yesterday afternoon, having some sort of an interaction with an immature Bald Eagle, in the Flats & Chandler Ads. area. The Rough-legged flew off in the direction of the airfield.
We had a Grackle this morning at our feeders - looking a bit bedraggled and gobbling down sunflower seeds. We have also had a group of up to 11 Cowbirds the last three days. I counted 20 Juncos today, along with a couple White-throated Sparrows and a Song Sparrow - along with all the usual winter traffic (including 50+ House Sparrows).
