Of course most of the well-known birding tour companies offer a variety of
birding tours to the Amazon region. But it is fairly easy to set up you
own tour by basing your yourself at one of more Amazon basin lodges. The
first choice is where. Ecuador has a number of good lodges in the Rio Napo
basin (Sacha, La Selva and Napo Wildlife Center are some of the classics),
Peru has many lodges along the Madre de Dios near Puerto Maldonado
including the famous Tambopata Research Center. And of course there is
Brazil. Most lodges have local birding guides and you can arrange their
excellent services for the length of your stay. Almost all also provide
seamless airport transfers and then motorboat to the lodge. Feel free to
message me if you need more advice.
Good luck!

Does anyone have recommendations for a birding tour to the Amazon? We’ve
looked at several on line but it seems confusing.
