Massbirders -

Bird Observer announces that our December 2024 issue is online at www.birdobserver.org <http://www.birdobserver.org/>. It’s been up since December 1; sorry for the late post.

Where to Go Birding highlights “Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, Cummaquid, Massachusetts: Winter Wonders and the All Persons Trail” by Ian Ives.

Feature articles include “The Future of the Impoundments at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Plum Island, Massachusetts” by Robert Buchsbaum and “The Twenty-seventh Report of the Massachusetts Avian Records Committee” by Marshall J. Iliff, Sebastian Jones, and Jeremiah Trimble. The photo essay depicts birds of the MARC Report.

As usual, we include About Books by Mark Lynch, Bygone Birds by Bob Stymeist, Bird Sightings for July-August 2024 by Jason Forbes and Bob Stymeist, Hot Birds by Joshua Rose, and Wayne Petersen’s At A Glance. Martha Steele has the issue off and her column will return in February 2025.

The cover art features Avery Whitlock’s Razorbill. “About the Cover: Razorbill” is written by Lily Morello.

Bird Observer is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
