Subject: Long-tailed Duck and White Ibis (Jackson County)
ASU grad student, Colin Dobson, found an female LONG-TAILED DUCK and several immature WHITE IBIS this morning, east of Grubbs on Hwy 18. The Long-tailed is on the larger Grubbs water treatment cell, approx here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/YdE28ZsU1FzL3FdU7The Ibis were slightly further east in the Cache River Relief, seen near intersection of Hwys 18 and 37, from approx here:https://maps.app.goo.gl/bCJ75fTCu8pQGWAX9Sadly there are 2 dead egrets here, either from hitting cars or Avian flu. Seems we're chasing lots of interesting birds lately. Always fun stuff to enjoy, especially the rarities we don't get to see very often.. Patty McLean and Michael Linz The Roadrunners
