Subject: [GABO-L] Sandhill Cranes in West Cobb County
Hello..

We saw 190 Sandhill Cranes fly behind our house today (Saturday 11/7) at 3:02 pm.  Groups of 30, 3's and 2's and a group of 40 plus.    They weren't too high and fast so I was actually able to count them individually!  That was a nice treat.  I was hoping for more so I put on proper shoes, etc but of course because I was prepared no more came through.

Looking at eBird I see that they are more easterly right now.  As in right along 75 and to the east of 75.  It's been years since we had the huge wave come over us.  Always an awesome sight seeing them come down the street like squadrons of aircraft.  Very jealous of Cynthia seeing so many yesterday!

That huge snowstorm must have finally encouraged them to leave Michigan and head south.  Good luck to everyone hoping to see and hear them this fall.
