I remembered this recent post as I just counted 603 crows flying south over Westbrook from 4pm to 4:15pm.
They were still coming on strong as my wife asked me to come back into the house and help with something more important.
I used to see them around the same time fly over the Maine Mall on their way to roost at Long Creek in South Portland but I believe that's no longer a big meeting place since a lot of the taller trees were thinned out.
My record at that time was over 1,300 birds and yes, I was late back from my fifteen minute break that time.
