I saw a distant White-winged Scoter this morning below the spillway at the Fort Randall Dam. The dam was the place to see birds today with nearly 100 Bald Eagles and hundreds of gulls: California, Bonaparte's, Ring-billed and Herring Gulls. There were quite a few ducks too including Common Goldeneye, also Common, Hooded and Red-breasted Mergansers.
