Saturday morning the 7th, there's a Black-and-white Warbler in Friendship Park in Chula Vista. Came in to the central several sweet gum trees in response to a screech-owl tape. This is actually the first Black-and-white I've seen this entire fall and early winter season in the county.....not many around this year. Also a "mostly" Slate-colored Junco there. At nearby Memorial Park there was a Yellow Warbler. At Kimball Park in National City there was a Western Flycatcher in the ditch riparian along the southeast edge, perhaps the 5th Western Fly in the south county in just the past couple weeks. Also a Nashville Warbler at the east end of the park, which is likely a returning bird. And there was another returning Nashville W. today at the Educational Cultural Complex (east side) south of Greenwood Cemetery.
