FYI: For locals looking for a patch novelty, there’s a juvenile Mute Swan
just off the southern edge of the southwest tip of the bulb right now at
(37.8881536, -122.3263991). Hats off to the dog-walkers who tipped me off
to this.
Also, a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, first seen on the bulb proper, then moved to
the neck of the bulb in the McLaughlin hotspot (my first for both
