Subject: [CT Birds] Bird Feeder and Black Bear - Washington, CT
Put up my bird feeder up earlier this week figuring with the cold temps of late my local Black Bears would not be active. That worked fine until early this afternoon when a bear knocked over my feeder. The pole and feeder it's self was not damaged so I brought the feederin to the back porch here. The bear was enjoying a nice black-oiled sunflower seed lunch from the seeds that came out of feeder after I brought the feeder back to the porch. FeederWatch for the CLO will be challenging here this Winter.
