Do you like to go birding along Lake Erie? Or maybe you've decided that this is your year to get better at identifying gulls. Then you will be interested in a free program this Wednesday, December 11 at 6:00pm at the Hiram College James H. Barrow Biological Field Station, 11305 Wheeler Road, Garrettsville, OH in Portage County. Jamey Emmert, Avian Education Coordinator at ODNR will share updates to the popular 232-page guidebook that features 88 birding locations from Ashtabula to Toledo.
Winter is the perfect time to visit many of these locations, as long as you bundle up! You will be in awe at the 10's of thousands of gulls along with ducks, geese, swans and other waterfowl that winter along the 'North Coast', especially where rivers empty into the lake.
Reservations are NOT required but plan to show up early as seating is limited.
