Subject: [sbcobirding] Friday birds
I started at the Modoc Preserve and nearby spots. Best birds were a female
Bullock's Oriole at Modoc Rd/Las Palmas, and a female-type Summer Tanager
along Cieneguitas Creek near Modoc Rd.

The Page Youth Center was a bust. The tipu trees that were good for
warblers have been removed. I couldn't find any sparrow flocks there nor at
the nearby cemetery.

I went through all the tipus in the car park of the Goleta Valley Medical
Building where I saw 2 Lucy's Warblers on Monday. I didn't see them, nor
did I see anything else interesting.

Presumably the same Yellow Warbler has returned for another winter in the
willows at the eastern corner of the Bird Refuge.
