I went to Ocean Park on Tuesday--didn't file a report because I didn't find much of interest. Most of the ducks were well upstream and I failed to pull out anything interesting from the gull flock at the beach, though I may have seen the pale Thayer's Nick mentioned. I also did not check the marsh for sparrows so did not see a Nelson's Sparrow. However, I did have a rapid fly-by of a duck heading upstream that looked very much like a female Goldeneye. Unfortunately, went by too rapidly to catch in the scope.
I was therefore glad to read Nick's report because it confirms my impression.

All,
I spent two and a half hours here up until dusk hoping to catch up with some of the owls but only saw a Great Horned.
Plenty of birds in the river mouth with 3 Common Goldeneye (plus another dead one) being the only birds I haven't seen reported recently.
A 1000+ gull flock on the beach by the mouth had 4 Thayer's Iceland Gull, one of which was very pale and 12 Herring Gulls.
