When birders know the rules and ignore them, it hurts everyone. It’s also
why some rare birds don’t get reported to the general public. I will think
long and hard before reporting anything at the Alma WTP. If the red flag
goes up when you’re in there…you leave. Period. If the flag is up when you
get there…you don’t go in. Period.
The red flag is raised to keep people safe. The Alma police have their
shooting range there. It’s for our protection.
