There is a gorgeous male Mountain Bluebird at the start of the loop at Quail Hill Preserve in Irvine. Working both directions of the loop, but still staying near the trailhead.
Also, the Eastern Phoebe continues, just quite far from where it was seen last month. I first saw it at a distance, sallying from some brush in the very center of the loop. Later seen about (33.6605833, -117.7890833) and eventually flew in the direction of the freeway.
Some Grasshopper Sparrows along the dry pond bed, as well as a leucistic Savannah Sparrow.
