I am not sure how to respond to the whole group. I live in Laguna Woods. Just before actual dark, at dusk last evening I saw an owl fly by. It was not terribly high, about second story of a building, but large and definitely an owl. It probably was a Great-Horned Owl which lives in this area, but it did look whitish. I looked up White Owls and was surprised that though rare, white owls have recently been spotted in LA and OC. Possible??

I had a Sage Thrasher in Bartlett Park at 7:43 AM on 11/18. It was perched on a log fence alongside a main trail behind Le Petite Academy, just south of the Newland House. It stayed in place for about 3 minutes before flying off to a nearby shrub. Coordinates: 33.673825, -117.986937.
