In an effort to pay back all of you regular posters, whose posts I do enjoy reading everyday, I will attempt to share some of my more interesting bird sightings.....like today's when I witnessed several blue jays dive bombing and attacking a very large Barred Owl sitting in a birch tree near my house. I was outdoors and was able to witness it close up. It continued for a few minutes, never really bothering the owl except to cause him to move over a branch or two. The jays eventually let the owl be. Any idea why this was happening? It's not nesting season so the owl wasn't after young.
