Hi Everyone,
This morning, Teresa C and I checked out the main entrance to Sanborn County Park. Overall the park was bird quiet except for a lot of activity at the pond near Walden West (37.239022, -122.071276). To get there, park in the YSI parking lot (37.234662, -122.063130), then take the nature trail, followed by the access trail and finally Pick Rd. The pond has a little fountain with lots of shrubs around it which the birds loved and were coming down to bathe in. We were able to see a large number of *American Robins*, 1 or 2 *Varied Thrush* very briefly, a *Cedar Waxwing*, *Dark-eyed Juncos*, *Townsend's Warbler*s, *Hairy and Nuttal's Woodpeckers*, *Ruby-crowned Kinglets* and 1 *Pine Siskin *(heard more siskins high in the trees).
