Sounds different than Anna’s. Blue chin and tail. Broad orange bill. Otherwise green. Very aggressive and most Anna’s fled at the sight of it"

Flew in briefly before darting off to a pepper tree and possibly another feeder (two other area homes had feeders). Green crown/head, deep blue throat that bled onto chest. Turquoise cheeks, chest, and belly. Green shoulders and back. White lower belly patch, and also white spot behind eye. Red-orange bill with black tip, grey wings. Soft staccato call reminiscent of a quiet Ruby-crowned Kinglet’s typewritery notes. Photos."

Brilliant green upperside, sapphire blue throat extending onto breast, bright red broad-based bill, pale grayish undertail coverts, black wings, and dark broad tail. Thought I saw it flick its tail a few times in flight. Perched in pepper tree when I left. Didn’t want to hang around too long. Beauty!"

Long decurved bill, underparts entirely yellow, upper parts olive, wings a bit darker showing two thin white wing bars. Long dark tail. This bird has been playing peekaboo with me for the past few weeks while briefly visiting our hummingbird feeder. Today was the first chance I had to observe the entire bird in full view."

- Comments: "Both birds observed at the same time from the camp road that runs behind campsite #90 were males with bold black and patterning above, white supercilum, dark lores, back auriculars, lower white eye-arcs, long, slightly curved, sharp-tipped bill, streaked/black throat patch, black streaking on sides, white belly, and black-spotted untertail. Only one of the two birds vocalized."

- Comments: "Fall bird in bottlebrush and oaks here: (35.347399, -120.836668). Very skulky and active, never sat still. Calling every once in a while. The warbler had a grayish neck and crown with contrasting bright olive green above and yellowish underparts with whitish undertail coverts.

- Comments: "Dull plumaged bird with bold supercilium, dark cap, dark lores, pale eye-arcs, dark eye-line, streaking on lower breast and flanks with yellow undertail coverts. Only photo opp was back-lit making for a much-to-be-desired image. Bird was observed on south-side of creek road bridge linking campgrounds not far from where the boardwalk meets the camp road."
