Hi Everyone!
Today I visited the Mendoza Ranch entrance to Coyote Lake CP followed by the Coyote Lake campground. At Mendoza Ranch, along the paved road leading to the gravel parking lot, I had about 6 *Lark Sparrows*, an *American Kestrel,* *Yellow-billed Magpies* and one *White-throated Sparrow*. The pond near the ranger's residence, had a load of *Gadwalls* and several *Bufflehead*. Two *Golden Eagles* passed by overhead as I was scanning the pond. At Roop pond, I was able to find a *Belted Kingfisher* and one *Wilson's Snipe*.
Coyote Lake campground was fun too, the water level is down so the shoreline had lots of exposed mud. In that area, I was able to find a *Spotted Sandpiper*, 2 more *Wilson's Snipes*, several *Greater Yellowlegs*, and lots of *Black-necked Stilts*. Two *Red-breasted Sapsuckers* were in the pepper trees in the campground.
