Thirty years ago this week, I had a Clay-colored Sparrow visiting my yard - seen most days from Nov. 14-24, 1994. Since the neighborhood was just recovering from the 1991 fire, there was lots of open space. So I saw several species in the early nineties that I haven't seen here since.
