I went to SLO’s Meadow Park tonight to learn if any kites are roosting there.
I was there for almost an hour, seeing at the most, 12 birds total. Several kites took turns at roosting on the choicest treetop branches, but all eventually departed to the NE before I stopped watching after a long lull in the movement of kites and oncoming poor light.
