Walked the Liberty Loop Trail this afternoon. Not surprisingly most of the marsh was very dry. The only open water was by the parking lot and a bit more down the west side. Perhaps the dry conditions portend good numbers of Short-eared Owls here this winter.
Highlights
5 Sand Hill cranes feeding with Canada geese very close to the parking lot.
Light phase Rough-legged Hawk.
2 Norther Harriers.
I Merlin.
Just an aside.... What happened to all the folks who used to post on this list serve ???
