Subject: [OrangeCountyBirding] Black-throated Blue Warbler at Oak Canyon Nature Center
Peter Nguyen has asked me to share that he has found a Black-throated Blue Warbler at the Oak Canyon Nature Center.

“33.79433° N, 117.75286° W initially seen at group of three large oaks in the right of the trail past the bridge. The oaks overlook the creek where wood ducks are roosting. Silent while I was observing. Moved through the oaks to a tiny toyon bush where it fed in a few berries before being flushed by a group of students. Initial impressions of the bird was a warbler with dull green mantle and gave me a light OCWA, but the bill was very small and noted the eyebrows. Upon binoculars, it looked like it had a light vent. Quickly grabbed the camera for excellent photos. Very short tail, thin light supercillium, white spot on primaries. Got corrected from a TEWA from discord. Lifer!! Photos to come”
