Today, Saturday, Nov. 9th, from 11:00 AM through 3:00 PM (Eastern Standard
Time), we had the following migrants in our yard in northern Tallahassee:
5+ Bay-breasted Warblers (probably 8+ but we want to be conservative in our
number estimate)
1 Black-throated Green Warbler
1 Northern Parula (did not get picture but latest we've ever seen one in
our yard in north Florida)
So migrants are still appearing in good numbers today in Tallahassee.
We'll leave it up others to discern the most likely explanation. It was
sunny during the time
when the migrants were coming to our water dishes but it became cloudy
around 3:00 PM when we saw no more migrants.
Best,
