- Comments: "Probs cont. Lovely male, very chill. Scaup-y, but without the peak in the back. Larger head, eye set up. Lip wasn't super huge, at least from the angle I saw, but the overall impression was a greater scaup. Weird that we haven't had many lesser yet. How have I seen two greaters this season without a single lesser!"

Brown Thrasher (Toxostoma rufum) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Nov 08, 2024 11:08 by Alex Castelein
- Santa Cruz Island--Scorpion Canyon Campgrounds, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.5645389&<ll...>,-119.5645389 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S201831538 - Media: 6 Photos
- Comments: "Wowza! Beautiful thrasher with brick red overtones, white undersides with dark streaks throughout, two white wingbars, and grayish cheek. Surely this must be the same bird that the Gaedes thought they saw briefly on Oct 19, but that got away and never showed again that day. With its tail in the process of molting, my guess is this bird spends the winter here or moves on when it finished growing in its rectrices. Photos"
