- Comments: "Continuing bird. Seen by many birders today. Foraging in pines with other species. it would dive into a needle cluster and then just stay there for a while foraging deep in the needles. It was difficult to get a clear view or photo of the bird as it was always fairly obscured by needles. But I got a few good views of the bird between needle clusters. It had a bright, yellow throat, and then olive green on the back and breast. The white wing bars were fairly distinctive. It had white undertail coverts. A whitish eye ring that appeared broken. I didn't really see any streaking on the sides."

- Comments: "I first saw this bird in the pines along Mentone, just north of 16th Street around 0800, quickly lost track of it, I relocated it again about 0900 in pines across the basin along Trouville, half way between 16th and 14th Streets where it foraged on the ground for a short time. I presume the bird I saw was what has been referred to as the brighter of the two Pine Warblers previously reported here, though it certainly did not look as bright yellow as some of the posted photos. The bird has a yellow supercilium, throat, chest, and flanks, and a yellow eyering broken by a dark eyeline. There also appeared to be some yellow tones to the rump though I did not see the rump well in the field. The belly and undertails coverts were white. The face had greenish ear coverts, and a greenish crown and back, two white wingbars, plus diffuse streaking on the breast that was least apparent at the center of the breast. I never got a good look at the tail though the photos show it is white below with dark corners. If the bird called, I did not hear it. I did not see see a paler one. (photos)"

- Comments: "Continuing bird -- 1 of 2 brightly plumaged Pine Warblers first reported at this location by Killian Hampl on 11/6, the day I was returning home from Brazil. A relatively large-billed warbler, with a longish tail that extended well beyond the undertail-coverts. Olive-green upperparts were unstreaked, with contrasting gray wings (more blackish on greater coverts) and two bold white wingbars. Throat and upper breast bright yellow, fading to paler yellow below, lightly washed and flammulated with olive on the breast and flanks, becoming white on extreme lower belly and crissum. The yellow throat was rather sharply delineated from the darker olive cheeks and auriculars, and the dark eyes were set off by fairly bold yellow "spectacles", formed by a broad yellow supraloral stripe that extended to the forehead in front, and connected to broad yellow arcs or crescents above and below the eyes, with a dusky eyeline running from the lores to beyond the eye. The heavy (for a warbler) bill was mostly dusky on the culmen/maxilla, and paler pinkish-horn along the cutting edge and much of the lower mandible. Tarsus and toes appeared brownish. Photos to follow."
