Since I've been birding, I've come to recognize that the same dark Red-tailed Hawk shows up near Casino Beach Marina at Storm Lake around November and leaves in early Spring. I've found myself looking forward to its arrival every fall. I've also begun to wonder if this is the year it won't return. This morning, I was excited to find it perched on one of its favorite locations--a utility pole along Hwy 110. I put together a photo collage from every year (7 years) since 2018.
