Weather: Blue skies all day. Moderate westerly winds. High in the upper 60s.
Raptor Observations: A slow start to the day then light but steady migration. A trickle of vultures. Moderate Bald Eagle activity with six migrating. Six harriers but only small numbers of Accips. Moderate Buteo migration with 20 red-shoulders and 14 red-tails. One each of kestrel and Merlin. Not many birds overhead today. A mix of altitudes.
Non-raptor Observations: 50 Canada Geese, 3 Common Loons, 2 Common Ravens, Northern Mockingbird, 5 Purple Finches, Fox Sparrow, 2 Rusty Blackbirds, 3,000+ Common Grackles, no monarchs. https://ebird.org/checklist/S201804825
Predictions: Tomorrow: Mainly sunny. High 58F. Winds NNW at 10-15mph. Hopefully the nice northerly breeze will encourage some raptors to finally migrate. Expect moderate to good migration but tough spotting.
