- Comments: "Observed with Tom Turner at the far south end of the west leg of the lagoon (34.4077279, -119.8500641). Head shape is longer front to back, not narrow and tall as with Lesser; it is smoothly rounded in back, with highest point very slightly toward the front rather than peaked at the back like Lesser. The black coloration on the tip of the upper mandible spreads out (though thinly) beyond the nail. Photos."

Slimmer, slightly smaller than Robin: speckled/spotted breast against pale, dorsal tail, back, wings, head- brownish-gray, yellow iris, fine dark bill slightly down curved, one more conspicuous wing bar compared to other, intermittent walking stopping on ground, with Sparrows along trail/road, but not really associated. Seemed tolerant of people like it had been there for a while. Present November 5-7 while I was there."

Small Sparrow, long tailed

Possibly 2-3, but one well seen and described on another checklist that includes this bird."

Streaky breast, light supercillium, very soft light yellowish undertail coverts, pumping tail walking. Smaller than crowned Sparrows nearby."

- Comments: "Appears to be the same individual photographed on 9/28/24 and originally entered as BHGR but was changed to RBGR based on Ebird reviewers' assesment that the fine streaking on breast is consistent with immature RBGR. Seen at the same location on private property adjacent to trail easement."

Bill similar to Finch in shape, maybe Cassin's in shape. Dark eyed, Raising up further there was blue coming through grayish-brown plumage of wing wrists, and upper back. It's back appear to have less blue showing. It didn't stay long. I watched it fly away up slope towards park residence compound. I could see blue in its rump and upper tail."
