Comments: Fairly active over the lake during the first 2.5 hours of the watch then quickly dropping off. Waterfowl numbers were not particularly high with most birds being scaup and Red-breasted Merganser. However, there was a respectable westbound flight of Red-throated Loons, especially between 0730 and 0745. A flock of at least 100 Northern Pintail flying across the lake from the NW was certainly unexpected and probably the most I have ever recorded in one flock. Jimmy Marz, Sam Stull, Scott Gorring, and his friend stopped for a quick visit.
