Dear Birders:
A reminder that the annual Central Valley Birding Symposium is coming up in several weeks, Nov 21-24 at the Stockton Hilton. If you're interested and haven't already done so, there is still plenty of time to register and attend all or any portion of this year's event filled with stellar speakers, programs and field trips. And, there are still some rooms available at the Stockton Hilton reserved for our attendees using the discount code of CVBS24 until Friday, Nov 8, if you need one.
Ed Harper will be giving a new program called Birds of the Air on Thursday evening. Noted evolutionary biologist Danielle Whittaker will speak enchantingly with humor on her recent discoveries on a bird's ability to smell and how influential it is in their lives on Friday. And longtime favorite Joe Morlan will celebrate warblers on Saturday evening. Among many other programs will be the return of the amazing bird specimen workshop led by Andy Engilis of UCD on Saturday afternoon. And, of course, the many outstanding fieldtrips.
