I observed a female-type Mountain Bluebird this afternoon, in the fenced-in private pasture, from the eastern part of Batiquitos Lagoon trail. The location is (33.094523, -117.278066). This is the same location where a couple of birds of this species wintered four years ago. Perhaps more individuals will join as the season progresses.
