Subject: [ia-bird] Story County Lanius
On 11/4, my husband told me that while I was gone, a "strange bird" had harassed the sparrows on the feeders close to our house.  He then provided a great description of a shrike.  I assume it was probably a Northern.  Our house is about a mile southeast of the intersection of I-35 and Hwy 30.  We haven't seen it again.
