Subject: [inlandcountybirds] Bendire’s Thrasher sighting around 2-3:00 today
Shortly after David Rankin spotted the Bendire’s Thrasher today on Davis Road, I arrived hoping to see it. Julie Szabo, Charity Hagen and Greg Cross showed up shortly after. We walked up and down the bushes at the end of Davis Road with no additional sightings. Julie, Charity and Greg left, but I stayed. About an hour or so later after driving up and down past the olive bushes, I spotted the thrasher at the end of the road digging on the ground under a bush, later flying back to the olive bushes where David had seen it. I was taking a photo of the spot where the thrasher had been sighted when it landed on the fence. Kathryn McGiffen
