Weather: Sunny with an increasing amount of cirrus clouds plus some cumulus clouds to end the day. Moderate southwest winds. Very warm with a high in the upper 70s.
Raptor Observations: A steady flow of Turkey Vultures for 75 total. One Osprey that cruised across the notch. Moderate Bald Eagle activity with 7 migrants. Five harriers. A few Accipiters. A handful of Buteos with 6 red-shoulders and two red-tails. No falcons. Migrants were a variety of altitudes with a free high streaming birds and many down low going into the headwind.
Non-raptor Observations: 40 Canada Geese, Belted Kingfisher, Common Raven, Brown Creeper, 3 Purple Finches, no monarchs. https://ebird.org/checklist/S201609757
Predictions: Tomorrow: Cloudy early with partial sunshine expected late. Slight chance of a rain shower. High near 75F. Winds NW at 10-15mph. The flight may take a bit to get going with the cloudy skies and light winds in the morning. However as the day goes on the wind will become stronger from a good direction with some sunshine. Expect moderate migration.
Friday: Sunny skies. High 69F. Winds WNW at 10-20mph. Expect moderate migration.
