Subject: [sbcobirding] Grasshopper Sparrow
At Elings Park there's a Grasshopper Sparrow ranging widely over the
grassland. It took three of us to finally get good enough views to confirm
the identity. It has quite a bit of retained juvenile streaking on the
sides of the breast which had us going for a while. It was even more
furtive than the Green-tailed Towhee (which appears to have gone). We'd see
it land, wait patiently for it to creep out, then after 15 minutes find it
had scurried away.

Also at the park there are still quite a few Horned Larks, a couple of
American Pipits, and a Peregrine flew over.
