The prothonotary warbler was in the vegetation off the dirt road not along
but just past the RR tracks, on the left side of the embankment below the
house. Just above is a corrugated structure. We watched for about ten
minutes before it appeared and it stayed around for a good 20 minutes,
disappeared for about 15 minutes and then circled back to the same spot.
Another couple saw the green tailed towhee; I didn't get a solid look
before it flitted uphill and into dense vegetation.
In the same area as the prothonotary warbler we also saw two common
yellowthroats, a couple of ruby crowned kinglets and a hermit thrush.
I have zero photography skills. Took this photo with my cell phone.
