Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Orchard Oriole Zoo parking
Orchard oriole was present around 650am near the meerkat 1 sign this
morning. It flew into the nearly bare coral tree briefly then went to the
blooming bottle brush towards the zoo fence for 1-2 mins. It did not come
out of the brush in the bottlebrush so photos there weren't really
possible. I think getting here b4 630am and trying to get it in the coral
tree is the best bet for photos It may have been in the coral tree longer
than I realized. I just saw it fly out of there and into the bottlebrush.
I didn't see it land there.

Roger

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
