Subject: [inlandcountybirds] 29 Palms birds: Lapland Longspur, etc.
Apologies for the late report. Yesterday, November 3, Johnny Bovee found a LAPLAND LONGSPUR at Knott Sky Park in 29 Palms. It continued through at least midday, on the north ballfield, loosely associating with American Pipits. Johnny also reported that the adult male YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER continued at Luckie Park.

On Saturday, Johnny found a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW at Knott Sky Park and a young male SCARLET TANAGER at the 29 Palms Inn, roughly around the northwest corner of the pond. These two birds were not found yesterday, but given the high winds while we were there, it is possible that either or both might have still been around.
