Weather: The clocks have now changed so the times on HawkCount are now the same as clock time (EST). Mostly sunny with high cirrus clouds that helped with spotting. Light northeasterly winds. A bit chilly.
Raptor Observations: Overall a great day of migration. Fewer Turkey Vultures than other recent days. A good amount of Bald Eagle activity with ten migrants. An immature GOLDEN EAGLE came directly overhead around 10:30am. A moderate flight of harriers (11) and Accips with 24 sharpies and five Coops. A big push of Red-shouldered Hawks with nearly a hundred for the day. Fewer red-tails with only 14.
Predictions: Tomorrow: Mainly cloudy. High 64F. Winds ESE at 5-10mph. Expect light to moderate migration.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy. High 74F. Winds SSW at 10-15mph. Expect light to moderate migration.
