You are correct on the fall record of the Pileated - I will change that on the website. As for the Mountain Plover from 2009, the last reference to this sighting was in early 2010, when the sighting was described on SFBirds as pending confirmation. The two references I've been using for prior sightings have been Hugh Cotter's database and eBird. I will routinely include a search of SFBirds as well, going forward for any "first" sightings.
