Visitors: Randy Botticore(sp) from Big Valley stopped by for a chat. I invited him to come back to watch with us. And eleven-year-old Max, his Mom and two others all from Shippensburg arrived around 1:30. They brought chairs and binoculars to watch for hawks, as Diane had invited them to come back after they visited the watch in the recent past. Unfortunately, all migration flight after they arrived was nil except for local Redtails.
Weather: Chilly day with variable winds from the NW. (Very few lantern flies to deal with today, thanks to the cooler temperatures.) Nearly cloudless skies.
Raptor Observations: Early birds were observed on the southern side of the mountain over Ferguson Valley, while birds after 11 pm were migrating out over Big Valley. Local Redtails and Turkey Vultures were active today.
