In vocal chasing conflict with CAKI. Trilling voice, large bill. Further from water than I've seen the species in Goleta previously (about 600 m from Lagoon)."

There is a lot of activity in the fennel in the early morning before the cyclists and dog walkers arrive."

Compact gray warbler, paler face, chestnut rump, sharp Leiothlypis calls. Got great looks but unfortunately my camera was dead. Bummer bc these were easily my best views of the species"
