Subject: [EBB-Sightings] Cackling Geese help--Oak Hill Park, Danville
Howdy Birders,

A couple of time over the last week, I've seen a pair of Cackling Geese at Oak Hill Park in Danville. In the ten years I've been walking the dog at the park, I haven't seen a pair of Cackling Geese together, let alone twice in a week. The first time, they flew in and out of the pond quickly; the second time, grazing with a lone Canada Goose.

I'm curious of the subspecies, as they have no neck ring and are fairly pale. Probably easy for the experts, but a puzzlement for me.

Here's a link to the listing and pics on eBird.

Thanks for the help!

Steve
