The Gilligan's Island reference explains why you all counted Magnificent Frigatebird and Fairy Tern last year. We might need a recount!

That's the headline you will be seeing in just a few short weeks. As The Great One used to say: "How sweet it is!"
The celebrations from Belknap's historic victory last year are now winding down. The champagne is gone. The confetti is all swept up. The prying TV news crews have packed it in.
I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that November is almost here. Finally. After waiting all year to defend our title, and, by way of extension, our very honor, Belknap is ready for the opening bell.
For the other teams, I have a little bad news. Despite coasting to a smashing victory last year, we weren't even trying. We were just learning the ropes. That was just scouting work for 2024. We spent most of the month home watching Gilligan's Island reruns. No more. No more scouitng, no more researching, no more late night games of Go Fish. Now we start. We don't care about rules changes aimed at us or any other ex post facto stuff. Ready or not, here comes Belknap!
