- Comments: "Continuing first-year oriole with dark chin, white belly, orange on breast and undertail and head. Not the orioles seen on Oct. 26. Also, dark eyeline extending toward nape, dark wings with messy white wingbars. Called a few times (harsh, raspy, rapid chattery). Same location as Baltimore. Photo."
Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula) (1)
- Reported Oct 28, 2024 08:15 by Nick & Jane
- Meadow Park--San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.6606531&<ll...>,-120.6606531 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S200621147 - Media: 6 Photos
- Comments: "Continuing since Oct. 21. Fourth sighting (https://ebird.org/checklist/S200362811). Seen here: (35.2673653, -120.6596815). That location is in the trees at Casa Diablo. The bird appeared about 15-20 feet up in canopy while a bushtit flock moved in. It moved quickly and stopped only a few times to briefly forage. It flew into cherry trees then back into deciduous tree. One field mark I have been forgetting to note is an orange shoulder, but also a partly orange upper wingbar. The bird has a brownish face, deep orange underside, bright white wingbars (except where noted) on dark wings. This bird has never vocalized. Photos."
